Address validation and migration of over 4MM accounts

Overview

Schneider Electric is a European multinational company providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability. The company had been working on developing an MVP for complete customer master data management within an MDM solution based on Reltio. The product was designed as a customer relationship tool for internal purposes and was expected to be used by Schneider Electric’s customer care and sales teams.

Challenges

Migrating from SDH (Schneider Data Hub) MDM to Reltio MDM would be particularly beneficial for tackling issues related to Schneider's most crucial Customer Relationship Tool - the BFO (Schneider's Salesforce). The BFO is one of the most loaded ERP systems in Schneider’s organization, as it holds over 4,000,000 accounts. The system was connected to 40 other Schneider systems, which all acquired information from different sources, often resulting in data duplication and other dysfunctions. Thus, the project was key to the proper functioning of all systems.

Solution

We provided one of our best Salesforce Lightning engineers to assist in delivering Schneider's objectives. As a result of his performance and quality of work, our engineer became a leading member of the project development team of Schneider.

Our Salesforce engineer worked side by side with the team of Schneider Electric to help them deliver complete address validation and address auto-completion functionalities for the MVP using the Loqate service and extend the Search Before Create (SBC) pool to retrieve data from the Reltio golden records. The other customer-related applications of Schneider were expected to be integrated with the same solution once the project was completed, the functionalities were thoroughly tested, and performance indicators were adopted.

Schneider also leveraged not only our talented expert's Salesforce development skills but also his practical communication skills and knowledge and experience with third-party integration systems to drive improvements in their internal code practices.
